My name is Geert Ots, ambassador and passionate breeder of Gouldian finches.

From a young age, I have been fascinated by birds. This passion only grew stronger when I discovered Gouldian finches, with their beautiful and unique colors. I have now been breeding these exceptional birds for more than 15 years, with great success: I am a multiple world champion in various color mutations.

Nutrition plays a crucial role in breeding — it is the foundation of everything. That is why I work with Gould Excellence and the rich egg food from Bird Supreme. These products are highly appreciated by the birds and contribute to their health and condition. The seeds are of high quality, because healthy birds start with a balanced diet.

During the last World Championship in Belgium, I met the Bird Supreme team. After several pleasant and constructive conversations, the idea of a collaboration quickly arose, and I became an ambassador for Gouldian finches.

This is also where the first ideas for my own seed mix were developed. This mix is completely different from the Excellence mix and has been specially designed to meet the specific needs of Gouldian finches. It is rich in canary seed and promotes optimal intake and condition.

Today, this mix is proudly available to everyone.
